American Greetings Interactive

UI / Asset Creation

For the past 2 years now I could be found in the gray walled area of AGI working on our various web sites, projects, and applications. Since arriving here I have been able to provide significant support to several projects including a CSS driven address book system, a refresh of the Create and Print plug-in, and the ground up development of a new photo personalization application. As a member of the UI team, I strive to bring my unique knowledge of CSS, Best Practices, Flash application development, and an artistic flair to the table every day.

2004

Broadvox LLP

Lead Designer

In this position I managed the company's web design and graphic design teams coordinating materials for marketing and publication for a VoIP service provider. I oversaw development of collateral to be used in monthly magazine publication, on the internet, for presentation materials, and end user publications. As Lead Designer I was also responsible for writing much of the marketing copy and creating visuals as needed to help my team complete each task.

2003-2004

New Concepts Consulting Inc.

Project Manager/Lead Web Developer

Here I was responsible for the management of the company’s ongoing projects while providing lead support for web site production (including design and implementation). The projects varied from government requested marketing campaigns to instructor led training courses. While overseeing these projects I also helped the business implement internal documentation processes and marketing collateral. As a manager I was directly in charge of the oversight of the company’s web, video, and training departments (including hiring and training for each).

2002-2003

Bryanconsulting Co.

Freelance Web Designer

During my last year in college I began working alongside this local web consulting company (and on my own with clients) to develop content managed sites. Along with web development the work included identity designs with web and print specialized graphics. This was a fortunate experience for me as the company’s founder was my college instructor (who I worked for as a TA at several colleges) and is a published expert in the areas of open source software and web design standards.

1996 - 2002

Washington University in St. Louis

Attained B. A. with emphasis on design from School of Architecture.

I attended college as an architecture major although began developing web sites as a student on campus for organizations. After taking some time off from school to earn extra tuition money (due to some financial changes in my life at that time) I returned to school to finish my degree while striving to take every web and ecommerce class available at that time. I was a TA for web design classes at University College (part of WashU) and St. Louis Community College.

Computer related training:

In addition to my traditional education, throughout my professional career I have worked to extend my skills with web Development courses with topics including; advanced HTML, Internet solutions, database and Intranet solutions, security issues, and even society in relation to the internet. I am hopelessly devoted to studying CSS, javascript and PHP in my own spare time as well. Through AGI I have been able to attend advanced classes in Flash XML and actionscripting, The 2006 FlashForward Conferenec in Austin, as well as the Web Design World 2005 conference in Boston.
